never forget

I remember.

When I first learned,

I watched in disbelief.

My disbelief turned to sorrow.

Then my sorrow turned to anger.

But when the women and men of New York, and Washington, and Flight 93 showed their true colors…

…My anger turned to hope.

Hope that we will endure.

Hope that life on the other side will be good again.

Because of an ideal that is worth hoping for.

Worth fighting for.

Worth dying for.

An ideal that preserves our spacious skies, our waves of grain, our purple mountains and our fruited plains.

An ideal that is bigger than you.

Bigger than me

America, America.

God shed His grace on thee.

I Will Always Remember.  May We Never Forget.

America, America…
